Venomous herpetoculture is very much a league of its own.  A single bite can cause the fatality of its handler or worse....someone else.  It is for this very reason that venomous snake handling and keeping is highly cautioned by some and shunned by the rest. While when compared to the overall venomous snake owner population, the actual number of individuals bitten annually are quite low. However, human error is the utmost cause of snakebites during handling and therefore a single mistake by the keeper can be their last. Despite the obvious reasons why these animals do not belong in just the hands of anyone, they are sold quite easily and readily to just about anyone who has the cash.  This website is aimed towards prospective keepers of venomous reptiles and educating them as to the "ups and downs" of owning some of Nature's most feared predators.
