**Update**- At this time, cages are quite full and space is hard to come by. There is currently no room for large cages and/or specimens for immediate rescue. However, we are compiling waiting lists for when spaces come available. We still want to help, so please contact us. Just because we don't have an immediate space available with us, doesn't mean that we don't have a prospective owner wanting YOUR animal. So, please...still send us an email of inquiry and we will do whatever we can, as fast as we can.
Donate to help unwanted pets
Reptiles are consistently surrendered to reptile rescues across the nation because they become unwanted for numerous reasons. It is often overlooked that these reptiles are now going to have to be provided care at the expense of the rescue. It is greatly appreciated by reptile rescues to receive donations from anybody that is releasing an animal into their care in order to help soften the blow of expenses. Also, if you are somebody who has a passion for reptiles and enjoys helping them without the responsibility of owning them personally, donating to a reptile rescue is a great way to do that! Reptile Rescue and Rehabilitation
The Ohio Reptile Service takes rescuing reptiles seriously. Thousands of pet reptiles are surrendered across the country day by day, due to aggression that was un-expected, care that wasn't realized was necessary and a variety of other reasons. Reptiles require special care that many don't realize until the animal is in poor condition due to substandard husbandry practices. It is important to thoroughly research the captive husbandry of each animal that you have interest in owning.
The Ohio Reptile Service is here to help with ANY unwanted pet reptiles. Space may be limited at times for larger specimens, but contact us ASAP so that we can get on the ball and help you to find a quick home for your pet. We are networked throughout Ohio and other states to help relocate any animals that might need homes. If you need to find another home for your pet, please don't wait.
